Wives' Group

History & Constitution

The Wives Group started in 1966 and to date we have 27 members. We made a constitution which said we were to be called Northwich Parish Church Wives Group. The patron is to be the Vicar of the parish and the president to be appointed by the Vicar. The membership of the group shall be open to women of varying denominations. The committee shall consist of seven members, the officers shall be confirmed members of the Church of England. All meetings shall begin with prayers.

What we do

We meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month and enjoy a varied programme. Normally our meetings are held in church and start at 7:30 pm.

During Lent we attend the evening Holy Communion and in September we organise the Harvest Supper which is attended by a greater audience than just members.

The rest of the meetings we enjoy an interesting speaker and we also have outings by coach or train visiting a neighbouring town or village maybe having a guided tour or visiting a church.
