We meet every fouth Wednesday at 19:30 in the Church school or sometimes in church or sometimes we go on outings.

Wives' Group Constitution

Name:Northwich Parish Church Wives Group
Patron:Patron to be the Vicar of Northwich
President:President to be appointed by the Vicar of Northwich
Membership:Membership of the group shall be open to all women of varying denominations, who are in sympathy with the belief and practices of the Christian faith. It is to be desired that all members shall attend their place of worship regularly.
Aims
1. To provide meetings both of a social and serious nature
2. To build up a fellowship of women on basically Christian foundations
3. To help forward in all possible ways the life, work and witness of Northwich Parish Church
Committee:The committee shall consist of seven members, all of whom shall be of the Anglican faith. The officers (i.e. Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) shall be Confirmed members of the Church of England. These officers shall be elected by members of the Wives' Group at their Annual General Meeting. Four other committee members shall be elected, these to retire in twos - alternate years. A quorum shall consist of four committee members.
Casual vacancies:Vacancies on the committee occuring during the year shall not be fulfilled until the next Annual General Meeting. However, a member may be co-opted for the remainder of the year.
Application for membership: Application for membership of the Wives' group shall be made to the Secretary at any meeting and a copy of the constitution shall be given to the applicant. An annual subscription is payable by all members.
Prayers:Meetings shall begin with prayers.
Constitution:The consitution shall be read by the president or Chairman of the Wives' group at each Annual General Meeting. Alterations to th constitution may be made at the Annual General Meeting.
