Organist & Choir Master

The organist and choirmaster is responsible for supporting the worship before, during and after services through music.

They do this by:

selecting hymns suitable for the season of the church's year - which are then forwarded to the vicar for approval;

lead and train the choir members to perform to their best ability and to learn new pieces to be sung during service - usually during communion;

introducing new hymns to the congregation;

preparing and playing suitable organ pieces before and after service (including funerals and weddings);

listening to suggestions and comments from members of the chor and congregation.

If anyone has any suggestions or wishes to join the choir please contact David Nangreave
