We are a Fairtrade Church

The Fairtrade Foundation is a movement which aims to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in the world by creating fair trading conditions for producers and workers who have been economically disadvantaged or marginalised by the conventional trading syatem. A key part of the movement is promoting and licensing the Fairtrade Mark, a guarantee that products retailed in the UK have been produced in accordance with internationally agreed Fairtrade standards.

Being a Fairtrade Church means that we are committed to the following:
*using Fairtrade tea and coffee after services, and in all meetings for which we have responsibility;
*movinge forward  on using other Fairtrade products such as sugar, biscuits and fruit;
*promoting Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and during the year through events, worship and other activities whenever possible.
